Florence’s Pee Dee Patriotic Parade got a $3,000 boost today from the State Budget and Control Board.
State Sen. Hugh Leatherman’s chief of staff, Robby Dawkins, presented the check at the U.S. Army Reserve Center. Leatherman was ill and unable to attend.
The parade, in its sixth year, is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. Sept. 15, and its theme will be “Defending Freedom.”
