MEET LEWIS VAUGHN
Lewis Vaughn was elected to the Senate in a 2006 special election to fulfill the seat left vacant by the retirement of J. Verne Smith. In the Senate, he is a member of the Correction & Penology Committee, Fish, Game, and Forestry Committee, General Committee, Judiciary Committee, and the Rules Committee. He previously served in the S.C. House of Representatives from 1989 to 2006.
Vaughn is a retired businessman. He and his wife Lila have two children, Michael and Ryan.
