As far as the cigarette tax this will cause a lot of people to quit. When that happens revenue goes down, jobs are lost. Revenue is lost from the out of state people who buy smokes here gas and other things so that revenue is gone also. Peoples health insurance covers most of the cost. The people that don't smoke and live longer pose more of a strain on Social Security due to livimg longer.
