Talk to Tom
Dear Friend:
As you may recall, I held several TALK TO TOM forums last spring to update my constituents on actions that were being taken (or not being taken) by the state legislature, and the feedback I received from them was very valuable. And I would like to receive more input from my constituents in Beaufort County prior to the state legislature reconvening next January.
For that reason, I have scheduled additional TALK TO TOM forums over the next two months at various places throughout the county. All forums start at 6:30 p.m. and include a short presentation by me on the matters likely to be considered by the state legislature, followed by an extended question and answer period. Please make a note of these dates and locations:

There is much we need to accomplish in the next legislative session: increasing transparency, focusing on the economy (especially the new port in Jasper County on the Savannah River), reforming our antiquated government structure, revising the school funding formulas, protecting our natural resources and restoring local control over local matters – to name just a few.
