“The Largest Tax Reduction In State History”
$220 million in tax relief for South Carolina’s working families. The Post and Courier is calling it “the largest tax reduction in state history”.
Last year we reduced your property taxes. Because of your Republican State Senator’s hard work, we were able to cut your taxes again this year. On November 1st, the state’s 3% grocery tax was completely eliminated. We also removed the bottom income-tax bracket, saving taxpayers $86 million.
According to the Greenville News “Working folks are the big winners from this year’s state tax cuts. Not only did SC lawmakers cut the 3% grocery tax, but they eliminated the bottom income-tax bracket (Greenville News, 6/22/07).”
